Our pricing is up front, fair, easy to understand, and follows a specific pattern:
There is an on-call fee assessed for coming to your location, whether that is coming to your home or coming to meet you at an agreed upon public location. Services that do not require us to come to your location will NOT be charged this fee.
If we are meeting you in Sevier county, the on-call fee for completed service is $80.00.
If we are meeting you in Knox, Jefferson, Blount, or Cocke counties: the on-call fee for completed service is $100.00.
On the rare occasion that we are unable to completely resolve your issue in a single visit, you will NOT be charged the on-call fee for multiple visits regarding the same issue. You WILL be charged the on-call fee for multiple visits related to separate issues.
On the EXTREMELY RARE occasion that we are unable to resolve the issue for you, we will not charge you the full amount of the on-call fee. The on-call fee in those rare cases will only be $20.00, regardless of where you are located.
We offer many major services that have a fixed rate fee. The fees are listed below by category. Click on each category to expand for a more detailed description.
Audio/Visual Design and Installation - From $100.00
This category is for all instances where we have to design/install a new sound system, television, monitor, display, or the cabling associated with any of these.
This category will also be used if we are troubleshooting your existing system and discover the need to replace existing equipment or cabling in order to fix the issue. However, we will NOT charge you for both categories of service - only this one.
This category is usable for both residential and commercial clients. The job in question may be as simple as setting up your living room television and/or surround sound system, or as complicated as installing all of the televisions into every room of your large hotel.
Jobs under this category are priced according to how many devices we are installing. The first 10 devices are $100.00, and each additional device is $10.00.
As a few examples: for 5 devices - the service fee would be $100.00. For 10 devices - the service fee is $100.00. For 11 devices - the service fee is $110.00.
You should expect additional hardware costs with this service. You will be expected to purchase any required cabling, cable clips to run the cabling, and any devices needed to complete the installation.
Audio/Visual Repair and Troubleshooting - $50.00
This category is applicable when you contact us because your existing sound system, television, display, or computer monitor is not functioning correctly.
We will come to your location and troubleshoot the issue until it is resolved.
Once done, we will explain what we found and fixed, plus answer any applicable questions that may help prevent the issue from happening again.
As long as we don't need to run new cabling or install entirely new devices to fix the issue, this category will apply. However, it is EXTREMELY important to note that an issue that initially falls into this category may be recategorized as an installation if we have to install new devices or run new cabling in a complicated way in order to fix the problem. If such a situation came up, we would stop and get your approval to proceed after letting you know that the price has changed.
This service may or may not incur hardware charges, depending on whether we have to run a replacement cable or use any clips to do a simple cable run.
Computer Hardware Upgrades and Service - $50.00
This would apply any time we have to install or replace the physical hardware in your computer for any reason.
We offer install and replacement for almost all PC components: CPU, RAM, Storage Drives of all types, Video Cards, Sound Cards, etc.
CPU upgrade and replacement is limited to desktops ONLY. We do NOT attempt replacement of the CPU in any laptop. While we know that it is technically possible to replace the CPU in a laptop, they are typically soldered into the motherboard. Attempting to remove the CPU from the board will typically result in damaging the motherboard and making the laptop un-repairable.
We can perform this service multiple ways. If it is more convenient for you, we are happy to pick up your equipment, perform the repair or upgrade, and then return it to you when the repair is completed. We can also perform these repairs and upgrades on site if you wish, but it may require a second visit if we don't happen to have the needed replacement parts with us.
You should expect to incur additional hardware costs with this service, since you will have to purchase the parts needed to upgrade or replace the hardware within your computer. As always, we will stop and notify you of any cost increases as soon as we're aware of them, and you will need to approve the price change before we proceed.
It is important to keep in mind that software and hardware issues go hand-in-hand. Sometimes what initially seems like a hardware problem ends up being a software problem and vice-versa. We offer support for both categories at the same price point, so we'll fix it either way and let you know what we found!
Custom Computer Builds - $100.00
We offer custom computer builds of all kinds, from high end gaming computers all the way to the simpler stuff intended for streaming videos and basic office work. Simply tell us what you want it to do!
There are essentially two phases to this service: DESIGN and ASSEMBLY.
DESIGN: We'll design the computer to your specifications and budget, then source and put together a parts list for you by finding each component at the cheapest prices available from reputable parts suppliers. You will be expected to pay $50.00 in order to receive the parts list once the design is complete.
Once you have the parts and source list, you are free to order the parts yourself and have them shipped either straight to your location or to us. We will NOT pay for the parts on your behalf and include the cost into your bill. You MUST pay for them out of pocket.
ASSEMBLY - Option A: After the parts have all arrived, we'll schedule a date and time that's convenient for you to meet and assemble the components into the masterpiece that you wanted. If this is the option you choose, you will be expected to pay the remaining $50.00 of the service fee (plus the on-call fee, of course) upon our arrival when we come to assemble the computer.
ASSEMBLY - Option B: If you'd prefer, you may have the parts shipped to us directly. We'll assemble them on our time and schedule a time to meet with you to deliver your masterpiece. If this is the option you choose, the remaining $50 of the service fee (plus the on-call fee) will be due prior to you receiving the computer.
Data Backup and Recovery- $50.00
Ever accidentally deleted something that you REALLY wish you hadn't? We can help with that! Just because you deleted it doesn't mean it's actually gone for good, even if you cleared it from the Recycle Bin.
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: If you accidentally deleted something you needed, STOP using the computer in question immediately! Power the computer off and do NOT turn it back on until we help you recover the item. Once you delete something from the Recycle Bin, your OS will begin to overwrite the file a little at a time with the data for each new thing you do on the computer. For the best possible chance of recovering the data you need, DO NOTHING with the computer until we complete the recovery for you.
We also offer data backup services. We're happy to facilitate whatever backup method you prefer, whether it's helping you set up a cloud storage service or simply helping you back everything up onto another hard drive. Please note that we do NOT offer any type of data storage service. We recommend a backup solution based on your needs and help you put it into action.
Internet Outage - $20.00
This category applies when you encounter internet issues and call us to come out to investigate them. If it's found that the issue is actually being caused by an issue with your internet service provider, we MAY not be able to actually resolve the issue and this category will be used. In such a situation, we WILL still charge you this nominal fee and the on-call fee, because we had to come to your location and likely spent a significant portion of time trying to get to the bottom of the issue. Since we don't want to charge you unnecessary fees, we STRONGLY encourage you to contact your internet service provider before requesting we come out for an Internet Outage issue.
Typically if you've contacted your internet service provider and they have advised that they cannot resolve it for you, the cause of the outage will be network related and we will categorize it as a Network Troubleshooting issue, which is something that we can absolutely fix for you!
Networking Design and Installation - From $80.00
This category applies to any new equipment installations, network design requests, or entirely new network setups. We can set up your network with ETHERNET, FIBER, or even a mix of the two. This is priced by device. Pricing starts at $80 for the first 8 devices, then increases by $10 for each additional device needed.
This could be something as simple as installing a new Wi-Fi access point to address an area of your residence with poor signal. This may be a completely new design and installation for a new structure. This could also be something more complicated such as helping network your ADU (detached garage, in-law suite, business building, etc.) into your main residence's internet connection. These are just a few examples of possible scenarios for a networking installation.
We WILL pull install cable as needed for this service at a cost of $40.00 per cable. You are responsible for covering the cost of the cabling itself, although we are happy to purchase it for you and pass that cost along on your final bill. We DO NOT handle the installation of any needed conduit or piping necessary to run the cable through. We would recommend contacting a reputable contractor if the conduit is needed inside of a structure, or a landscaper if it is piping needed for networking an adjacent structure. Once the conduit and/or piping is in place, we will happily finish the installation for you. YOU are responsible for all costs assessed by a contactor or landscaper for their installation.
Keep in mind that this category will also be applied if we are troubleshooting an issue with your existing network and discover the need to install new equipment to address the problem.
Network Repair and Troubleshooting - $50.00
This category is applied whenever we come to troubleshoot issues on your network. It will most commonly appear to be an internet outage.
It could also include issues or situations such as a networked printer that isn't printing correctly, or if you have an area of your house where Wi-Fi is slow or not working.
Keep in mind that an issue that starts as a network troubleshooting call MAY end up as a Networking Installation or an Internet Outage, depending on what we find once we arrive. Of course, if this means the cost to you will change, we would always get your approval prior to proceeding with the work.
Phone, Tablet, or Smart Watch Issues - $40.00
This category applies whenever you come to us with any issue concerning a Phone, Tablet, or Smart Watch device.
We offer support and assistance with all major brands and operating systems. This includes but isn't limited to: frozen screen, general OS software issues, backing up and transferring data, broken screen replacement, battery replacement, replacement of any other internal components.
We do NOT jailbreak iPhones, root Android, or perform any other unofficial modifications.
Smart Home Device Setup and Troubleshooting - $50.00
Interested in making your home smarter? We can help! We offer Setup, Support, and Troubleshooting for all smart home devices.
We can do something as simple as helping you set up a new Alexa, Google Home, or other smart hub device. If you've already set them up and just need help with figuring out how to make something work, we can do that, too!
Want to be able to control your lights or another device from your phone or via a smart hub? We can help you install and configure smart switches, bulbs, or even outlets!
Have a camera or home security system such as Ring or Blink? We can help you install and integrate those devices as well!

Software Issues and Troubleshooting - $50.00
Computer just won't quite do what it's supposed to? Have the dreaded blue screen of death? Operating system being overly slow? Automatic "update" came through and ended up being a real downgrade? We can help with all of these issues and more!
Similar to how hardware issues are approached, there may be situations that require additional software to be purchased in order to fix the issue you're reporting. If possible, we'll obtain the software at no charge to you, however you may be expected to pay for additional software if the situation calls for it. As always, we would stop and notify you of any cost increases before we proceed with the service.
It is important to keep in mind that software and hardware issues go hand-in-hand. Sometimes what initially seems like a software problem ends up being a hardware problem and vice-versa. We offer support for both categories at the same price point, so we'll fix it either way and let you know what we found!
Website Design and Setup - From $100.00
We can design a basic website for your business to use for only $100.00! We will get your input and specifications, then design the site to accommodate what you need.
Our basic websites are designed using website building services such as Google Sites, GoDaddy, WIX, etc. We will handle getting all of the graphics in order and work with you to tweak the site until it meets your expectations.
If you want additional things incorporated into the site, such as capability to accept payments, reservations, appointments, and so on: we can integrate these things at a rate of an additional $50.00 per item.
In the event that you need a more complex website built than can be accomplished using the kits available on a basic website building and hosting service, we may be able to accommodate your request for an additional fee. Such a request would be priced very differently than our basic website building service, but we'd love to hear from you to discuss your needs.
All Other Services - Price Negotiable
If the issue you are contacting us for doesn't fall into any of the categories above, we still MAY be able to help you! Contact us and let us know what you need, and we'll do our absolute best to help you! We'll talk pricing when we figure out what is going to be needed.
Even if we can't help you ourselves, we can typically point you in the right direction to get your issue handled. We're always happy to hear from you and always willing to at least point you to the proper people to help, because helping you is always the first priority at Advantage IT Service.
Hardware and Software costs are defined as any material, hardware, or software expenses required to provide your service.
Our preferred way of handling these costs is to have you pay for them directly to reduce any risk of confusion. In such a case, you won't actually be charged again on your final bill.
There may be situations where unforeseen hardware costs are discovered midway through a job. In such situations, we will immediately notify you of those costs and get your approval to proceed.

That pretty much says it. As much as we wish it weren't so, we all must pay taxes. All charges of any kind are subject to your local tax rate. At the time this is being written, taxes in the primary counties we serve are all at 9.75%.
As these tax rates change from time to time, we will update our rates accordingly.
